Gennex is the young peoples' participation project in Pembrokeshire. It gives young people the opportunity to be involved in making decisions or planning and reviewing any action that might affect them.

Gennex is made up of different decision making elements such as:
-
Community Forums (opens new window), which run across all Pembrokeshire's youth centres and aim to be more representative of communities by striving to work with other youth groups such as YFC (Young Farmers Clubs), Scouts, Guides, Combined Cadet Forces etc... check out the individual forum pages for details.

Special Interest Forums (opens new window), which bring together young people with similar issues/interests. Gennex currently runs specialist forums for young carers, looked after young people (X-Forum) and young disabled people (Young Voices for Choices)

The Pembrokeshire Youth Assembly (opens new window) aims to represent all young people across Pembrokeshire. Meetings take place throughout the year with two representatives from all area youth forums, special interest forums and school councils. The representatives feed back relevant information to and from the Assembly. The Youth Assembly will also feed in at a national level to Funky Dragon (opens new window)(Children and Young Peoples Assembly for Wales) and the Childrens Commissioner for Wales (opens new window)

Residentials 2010
The Single Plan residential is the 22nd and 23rd July at Lawrenny. The Funky Dragon residential is the 15th-17th July in Cardiff. Contact Nadine for more details.
