Mary Immaculate School in Haverfordwest were crowned winners of the recent Pembrokeshire primary schools' Girls Kwik Cricket finals.
Eleven schools took part in the event - Mary Immaculate, Tavernspite CP, St Oswalds Church in Wales VA, Neyland Community, Milford Haven Juniors, St Teilo's Catholic Primary, Haverfordwest Church in Wales VC, Glannau Gwaun, Tenby Juniors, Stepaside CP and Hubberston Church in Wales VC.
It was the third year for the event, which was organised by Sport Pembrokeshire, the sports development arm of Pembrokeshire County Council. It took place at Haverfordwest Cricket Club.
Mary Immaculate narrowly defeated Tavernspite in a repeat of last year's final. Both teams go onto to represent Pembrokeshire in the South Wales finals on Monday 11th July at the Swalec Stadium in Cardiff.
Cricket Development Officer Matt Freeman said: "It is good to see girls' cricket participation continuing to increase, with more schools attending the festival year on year."
He also said the inception of the Under 11 Girls Regional Squad earlier this year will give girl cricket players more opportunity to continue playing cricket within the county.
