Twenty seven young swimmers from Pembrokeshire have qualified for this year's Welsh Age Group championships.
The youngsters - three more than last year - from Haverfordwest Seals, Pembroke &District, Tenby Dolphins, Fishguard Flyers and Milford Haven will swim together as Pembrokeshire County Swimming.
The championships are a showcase for the best young swimmers in the country and considered a yardstick for measuring club success at Welsh level.
Last year's 24-strong team won eight gold medals, eight silver and six bronze, as well as achieving 96 personal best times.
"The swimmers have done extremely well to qualify for this event and we now aim to beat last year's results," said Pembrokeshire swimming development coach Paul Dowey.
"We want more than half of the swims to be Personal Bests; we aim to reach more than 36 finals from 15 swimmers and win more than 22 medals from both individual swimmers and relay teams."
The qualifying swimmers, along with coaches and team managers, took part in a Team Day last Saturday at Haverfordwest Leisure Centre.
The youngsters ate and trained together all day as well as taking part in team building games. They also collected their team kit, which has been sponsored by Stena Line.
The championships will be held at the National 50m Pool in Swansea between April 22nd and 25th.
